Hm I can imagine that it's hard as non profit organization to spend money on things like board software. Well, SMF can do a great job too of course.

This wildlife project sounds great and of course I will check the website more often in the future.

For the veteran things, you're right. As I'm living in Austria we have to deal with two world wars, and everytime it was our fault. It's not the veterans we have to care and talk about, it's the victim, special the jewish ones. You're absolutely right with saying people are the one who suffers.
Sadly it's very hard to do anything against this situation but for myself I'll do my best to live in peace with people and nature.

Hi Captainslater,
Well Veterans Issues are simlply this.
Veterans were once soldiers. Once no longer soldiers they suffer from the misfortunes of war.

Governments should be held accountable for the way they treat their soldiers.

Governments will never live at pace with each other. Only people can do that.
Until all people everywhere can learn to live at peach with each other and force our governments to do the same, then our sons and daughters will be forced to fight wars that rae not of their making nor of their choices.

They will all suffer from these experiences, either physically or mentally. No one can take the life of another person without a small part of themselves dying as well.

It is not governments who suffer the ills of war, it is always the people.

HI captainslater,
I have actually looked at vBulletin and would love to be able to use it. Unfortunately we have a number of intertwined forums already established with SMF some several tears old.

Considering the cost of vBulletin and the time and effort involved in making such a change our Board of Directors felt that it would not be cost effective. Since we are a Non Profit Organization it is not always possible to buy when there is a comparable product offered for free.

Currently we are focused on building Wolf Gardens Wildlife Center. Ground breaking starts is two weeks on our new center. We will then move all 52 wolves currently housed by us to that site. Our immediate funding requirements are focused on the Construction of Wolf Gardens Wildlife Center.

As a small Non Profit Organization our funding comes entirely from public support, so we have to be very cautious.

LOL of course if vBulletin were interested in donating a liscensed copy for non profit use, we would certainly be interested in making such a change. Such an action certainly would not hurt the international reputation of vBulletin I am sure.

Hopefully the SMF version will happen in the near future otherwise we will have to look for an alternative program that will at least work independantly that can be linked through SMF or perhaps bridged through SMF.

Hy Jim,

currently we haven't Zoints Local available for SMF, maybe sometimes in the future.
vBulletin is a very powerful board software, maybe you'd like to check this out.
